Dear Students,
For our lesson for today (Apr 27th)
(1) The PPT file for 'Lesson 6' can be found in the ‘Material Docente’ section. Also, you can find the .mp3 file attached.
(2) The link for our lesson recording can be found in the ‘Clase Virtual’ section. You just click on the play icon to watch it
For our next lessons (May 11th )
(1) We will be working on our first synchronous lesson that will be divided into two parts as we already know, (a) Linguistic (some grammatical structures in communicational contexts for the most part) and (b) Communicative (video debates)
(1.1) For the second part of this next lesson, please, watch the following video (it contains Eng. Subtitles), "How to fit in at university | The University of Edinburgh" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf_O4a3ivbc
(2.1) Once you have watched it, please think about the following questions
(2.1.1) How do the students in the video see the concept of 'fit in' in a university context? Provide an example, from your own academic/personal experience, on how you have been dealing with fitting in a university context. Has it been difficult, not very difficult?
(2.2.2) With the information provided by the video comment on one point that you think is relevant. Provide two reasons for this relevancy.
(3) Some important news for you,
(3.1) You have until next, May 12th (with two additional days) to write your 3rd blog entry
(3.2) The "Oral Evaluation" (20%) instructions are uploaded on the 'u-tareas' section for you to take a look at. Also, the material for this evaluation such as the rubric document, the audiovisual guideline and its corresponding script is already uploaded to 'material docente'
In case of doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me back,
Best Regards
