Dear students: The topic for the second Blog will be informed on September 21st.
How to set up blogs

There are many different platforms to create your blog. Blogger is a popular easy to use if you have a Google account because it is one of the apps in the Google menu. Here is a link on how to create a blog on Blogger  or watch this video.

Students should post their link on the "Foro" so that the teacher and classmates can  easily comment on their classmates’ blogs. See the screenshot below.

Tutorías disponibles para practicar inglés. 12

Les comparto información sobre una buena oportunidad de contar con un espacio de práctica.

  1. Localización y Facultades. Las 3 tutorías disponibles este semestre serán en el campus Juan Gómez Millas (JGM) y en el campus Dra. Eloísa Díaz (ex campus Norte) y están dirigidas a estudiantes de las facultades de esos campus que participan en nuestro Programa de Inglés: Ciencias, Ciencias Sociales, Comunicación e Imagen y Artes Las Encinas en JGM y Odontología y Ciencias Químicas y Farmacéuticas en Norte.

 

  1. Niveles. Las 3 tutorías disponibles este 2° semestre serán para los siguientes niveles:
  • Campus Juan Gómez Millas (FACSO, CIENCIAS, FCEI, ARTES JGM) para niveles 1 y 2
  • Campus Juan Gómez Millas (FACSO, CIENCIAS, FCEI, ARTES JGM) para niveles 3 y 4 - Importante: no hay tutorías para el nivel 5 de FACSO (Intermediate A)
  • Campus Dra. Eloísa Díaz (FCQYF, ODONTO) para niveles 3 y 4
  1. Difusión, fechas e inscripción de estudiantes. 
  • Los y las estudiantes inscritos/as en estos niveles en estas facultades recibirán un correo entre hoy y mañana invitando a inscribirse en las tutorías, si creen que lo necesitan. 
  • La inscripción en las tutorías es totalmente voluntaria, pero ustedes pueden recomendarlas de manera especial a estudiantes que hayan detectado en sus cursos y que crean que pueden beneficiarse especialmente de este espacio de acompañamiento no solo en cuanto al aprendizaje del inglés sino también como acompañamiento más integral para la vida universitaria. 
  • Para que puedan recomendar directamente la inscripción a quienes crean oportuno, les dejamos el link al formulario: https://forms.gle/jvfvYgHLfK1QeGd66 
  • Los y las estudiantes podrán inscribirse durante las próximas semanas. Las tutorías comenzarán después de la semana de receso y Fiestas Patrias.
  • Los horarios de las tutorías no están definidos todavía, puesto que se acuerdan entre cada tutora y grupo de estudiantes.

Please be reminded that the deadline for submitting your post on Global Warming is tomorrow Sunday in order to get a 7. If you are late, you'll get a 4 and if you don't participate, you are going to get a 1.
When making a comment you may want to use expressions such as:

Agreeing

  • Absolutely
  • Exactly
  • I totally agree with you
  • I have exactly the same opinion as you
  • I agree to a certain extent
  • I am with you up to a point

Estimad@s estudiantes, les informamos que por motivos de fuerza mayor, la clase del curso inglés III, sección 4 se encuentra suspendida para mañana jueves 17 de agosto.

El día martes 22 de agosto se retoman las clases con normalidad.
