Dear Students, 

My name is René Larenas, and I will be this semester’s English III teacher. I would like to tell you that you are very welcomed to this course that (hopefully) will begin today, Tuesday, April 6th, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., this implies the following, 

(1) We will be having #2 lessons on Tuesdays and Fridays (2:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.)

(1.1) Originally these two lessons take 1.5 hours, however, according to this sanitary contingence, they will be reduced to 1 hour each. 

(1.2) We will be taking some time during lessons as a break, that is to say, if necessary, we will take some minutes, and then, we will continue with the lessons 

(2) For this week (April 6th – April 9th) the very first lesson will be about Administrative issues, while the second, will be focused on developing linguistic abilities, such as Listening, Speaking and Reading 

(2.1) From the second week onwards, all online lessons will be focused on developing linguistic abilities, while most of the evaluations will be done at home. 

(3) I beg you to please connect to every single lesson you can 

(3.1) 30 minutes before the synchronous (online) lesson starts, please log to ‘u-cursos’ and connect to the lesson from there

(4) Once the lesson is finished, I will be sending you 2 items, 

(4.1) The teaching material (PPT file and an audio file), if required, and 

(4.2) The link for the lesson that will be recorded for you to have an archive to look at.

(4.2.1) The lesson audio-visual file will be saved on ‘u-cursos’, as well 

(5) Any questions you may have, either in English or Spanish, please feel free to write back.
